PRELUDIO XI. Melancólico

Dedicado a Gonzalo Rabasa. Las dos manos del pianista se mueven en sentidos opuestos dibujando un gesto lánguido y obsesivo. Poco a poco ese gesto sale de su monotonía y se convierte en una melodía que adquiere mayor brío hasta desembocar en una suave danza. Es una danza hipnótica que gira sobre sí misma en remolinos que cambian constantemente su centro y crecen hasta desbordarse. Todo el preludio fluye en un continuo de corcheas. Sólo el silencio se interpone, en ocasiones, creando pequeñas fracturas que no llegan a aislar completamente a los gestos que flanquean sino que parecen dejarlos pendientes de un fino hilo que los une al resto del mundo, como si no se resignaran a vivir en soledad.

PRELUDE XI. Melancholic

Both hands of the pianist move in opposite directions drawing a languid and obsessive gesture. Gradually this gesture abandons its monotony and becomes a melody that eventually becomes a smooth dance. It's an hypnotic dance that spins like a swirl constantly changing its center and growing up towards a climax. This prelude moves in a continuous flow just interrupted by occasional silences breaking the melody in fragments that seem to be connected to each other by thin threads as if they couldn't resign to live in solitude.
